Sorry for the long ghosting. Today, I learnt the most important lesson of my life which is self-discipline. You see, I’m a very lazy person, therefore, the lack of updates and my progressiveness. I learnt that it does not matter if you already have a goal, you will still have no progress. What matters most is self-discipline. I feel like everyone must have this quality in them and to do that is actually quite simple.
Self-Discipline can be achieved with a few factors:
- Reasons behind your activity, for example, your parent passed away and you are the sole-breadwinner of your family. You obviously do not want to let your family suffer therefore you will work very hard.
- Do one thing at a time, for example, during the school holidays, you will work a full-time job, then when school reopens, you’ll have the habit of working so you can just integrate your studies in your life
- Pre-planning for temptations, for example, if your friends were to invite you to a party, have a “IF-THEN” technique. If your friends were to invite you to a party, then you would tell them that you have to tutor your younger sister.
Self-Discipline is all about will power and I find that the 3rd point is very useful if comes a time when your will power is lowered and you just want to do your own stuff. This is where the 3rd point will be the most crucial.
